Inmates will be allowed five (5) names on their visitation list and only those on the list will be allowed to visit. All visitors must a have valid state issued or military picture ID or they will not be allowed to visit. (Exception: paper ID (new application for DL) with photo on record in our system to identify subject)
Changes will not be allowed to the visitation list during visitation hours. Once the list reaches 5 names there can be no changes for 30 days.
Any person 17 years of age or older listed on an inmate’s visitation list is authorized a 20 minute visit per inmate per visiting day.
Children 16 years of age or under are allowed to visit provided they are accompanied by an adult who is listed on the inmate’s visitation list. Children do not have to show identification. It is the visitor’s responsibility to have adult supervision for children not visiting.
Persons who have been incarcerated in the Clay County Jail are not permitted to visit any inmate until 30 days have passed since being release. (No exceptions)
Anyone arrested together or co-defendants in a pending criminal case will not be allowed to visit for a period of 6 months following the release of one of the persons.
Visitors are required to dress appropriately.
Loud or abusive talking, failure to supervise/control children, slamming the phone receiver or inappropriate behavior is grounds for terminating your visit.
Clay County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to refuse any person visitation for violation of the rules.

SATURDAY 12 PM TO 2 PM
FEMALE INMATES: WEDNESDAY 9 AM TO 11 AM
SATURDAY 2 PM TO 4 PM
