Sheriff K.R. "Kenny" Lemons Jr
Sheriff Kenny Lemons born in Wichita Falls Texas in 1964, was raised in Thornberry Texas, attending and graduating from Petrolia High School in 1983. He and his wife of 23 plus years, Tami Davis, who also grew up in Thornberry have raised two (2) children, and have two (2) grandchildren. After high school, Sheriff Lemons attended both Midwestern State University and Vernon College. Prior to beginning his law enforcement career.
Chief Deputy Mark Elgin
Chief Deputy Mark Elgin was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1957. In 1973 he moved to Plano, Texas graduating from Plano High School in 1975. He graduated from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas in 1980. Chief Elgin is married and has one daughter. He is a Life member and past Master of Henrietta Masonic Lodge and is a member of Fort Worth Scottish Rite. He is also past Potentate and Life member of Maskat Shrine in Wichita Falls.
Admin. Asst. Tracie Jinkins
Adm. Asst. Tracie Jinkins was born and raised in Clay County attending Henrietta Elementary, Midway Jr. High and High School, Petrolia Elementary and High School graduating in 1975.
I came to Clay County Sheriff’s Office in January 2009 and the Jail Administrator under Sheriff Kenny Lemons and transferred to the Records section in January 2011.
Captain/Jail Admin. Kerri Heaton
Kerri Heaton started as a detention officer in 2002 for Dallas County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Lemons hired Heaton in June 2009 as a detention officer/dispatcher. January 2011, Heaton was promoted to Dispatch Sergeant and May 2012 acquired the position of Detention Sergeant. October 2014 she reached rank of Captain of Detention/Dispatch and Jail Administrator.
